Green Smoothie

Morning! Well I’m posting this a little late. The first half of January has been pretty busy.

01-01-16 Weight: 159.0 Yikes! Right?! Today is the day I start no sugar, as in treats, and no white bread and no junk. We were camping in the desert and I made a green smoothie for breakfast and I made chicken tortilla soup for lunch and had it for dinner as well. Yep, I brought my Blendtec camping. 🙂 I had some honey roasted peanuts for a snack. I was never hungry and felt satisfied all day! Of course the first thing I drank was Plexus Slim 30 minutes before breakfast.

Green Smoothie #1

  • 2 C spinach
  • 1 orange
  • 1 C blueberries
  • 1 C raspberries
  • 3/4 C granola (w/almonds, banana chips, raisins)
  • 3 tbsp chia seed
  • Water
  • Ice

20 push-ups (mostly girl ones)

01-02-16 Weight: 157.1 Plexus Slim 30 min before my breakfast of bacon and eggs & green smoothie. Connor & I went out in the desert on the sideXside, Mike & Evan rode their dirtbikes. We hiked to Dinosaur tracks and watched them all ride! I packed a tuna sandwich on one piece of bread and had some peanuts as a snack. Dinner was Lin’s fried chicken and broccoli. I didn’t have one bite of the delicious bread I made!

Green Smoothie #2

  • 2 C spinach
  • 1 orange
  • 1 apple – Honeycrisp
  • 3 tbsp chia seed
  • 2 C water
  • 1 C ice

25 push-ups (mostly girl ones)

01-03-16 – Weight: 155.6 Hiked in Zion with the family, we did Canyon Overlook and saw weeping rock, it was closed and chose not to do the mile hike to our favorite picnic spot due to icy trails. I was cold anyway. Had a green smoothie, 2 eggs and bacon for breakfast. Tuna sandwich on one piece of 100% whole wheat bread. Then we went to Red Robin and I had a grilled chicken sandwich with ranch, cucumbers, egg, tomatoes. I did have one onion ring! 🙂

Green Smoothie #3

  • 2 C Spinach
  • 3 oranges
  • 1 banana – frozen
  • 4 tbsp Chia Seed
  • 1 C water

Forgot to do push-ups, but we made everyone freeze on one of the hikes and do 10 jumping jacks and 5 squats. Lol

 01-04-16 Weight: 154.7 Breakfast: Green smoothie, 2 eggs & 2 bacon. I usually don’t have bacon everyday, but I need to go shopping and get some ham. The plan for lunch is chicken tortilla soup and BBQ chicken for dinner.

  • 2 C spinach
  • 1 orange
  • 1 Apple – honeycrisp
  • 1 C frozen fruit – pineapple, mango, strawberry
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 C ice
  • 1.5 C water

01-05-16 Weight: 154.9  Today I woke up starving so I had an Atkins French vanilla shake right away. Then I had my green smoothie. For lunch I had chicken tortilla soup- sans tortilla chips and corn. For a snack I had a couple sticks of celery with peanut butter. And I also had a small serving of Greek yogurt with fresh blueberries and some granola. That was the tastiest snack! I knew Connor would eat some of my blueberries- so I put extra in. 🙂 My weight went up. I thought it might because of the Wheat thins and cheese ball!

Green Smoothie #5

  • 2 C spinach
  • 1 orange
  • 2 c pineapple
  • 4 tbsp chia seed
  • 2 c water
  • 1.5 c ice

I also did 30 push-ups!

Well that was the first 5 days of the year.  Let hope more are like it!
